This is a two and a half years course of study for the direct entry. This certificate program is under the Department of Nursing and Midwifery. The program incorporates and emphasizes general nursing, community health, management and leadership. Aims at training skilled Enrolled Nurses who are able to provide Preventive, curative and rehabilitative services as the minimum health care package at all levels of health care.
Expected Learning Outcome at the end of the course should prepare the Enrolled Nurse should be able to: Work independently and safely in the ward/community, Identify the patients’ physical, psychological and sociological illnesses, Provide total Curative, Preventive, Rehabilitative Nursing care, Display professional knowledge, skills and attitudes in patient care, Maintain interpersonal relationship with co-workers and the community.
