This is a one and a half years Course of study for the targeting applicant who have already completed certificate in Nursing or Comprehensive Nursing. This diploma program is under the Department of Nursing . The expected outcome of this course is that the registered nurse should closely work with the Clinical Officer and other staff and the support supervision team ensuring the delivery of high quality services and effective management of the clinic. Shall support appraisals of the junior staffs and provide accountability for funds and resources where necessary
Additionally Manages out patients including nursing, midwifery and immunization services in liaison with
the team, Conduct ward rounds, Participate in continuous nursing & midwifery coverage on ward, Maintain personal contact with patients, take note of their complaints and report if necessary, Receive patients, register admissions and discharges, Documents patient care services by charting in-patient and department records, Provides appropriate handover report of a shift, Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with
health care team members.
